The internet is full of amazing sites built by people rather than brands and companies, you just have to dig a little bit to find them ^-^

Bunnylvr7-- a captured geocities website hosting beautiful poetry and music, with lots of bunny images. A lovely site
The Anarchist Library-- large collection of free anarchist texts
The Eye-- a website dedicated to digital media archiving
Wayback Machine-- Internet Archive's digital library of captured websites
The American Yawp-- Open source collaborative American History textbook, lots of primary sources linked
Effed Up Movies-- huge source for disturbing, gross, explotation, all sorts of films
Strangers In a Tangled Wilderness-- Independent media collective for anarchist works including short stories, how to guides, zines, and more
Emma.Best-- Updated collection, used to be "That 1 Archive". Articles and projects from Emma Best concerning national security, historical documents, and lots of resources regarding the actions of the state
Library Genesis Mobile-- hearing some rumors that the original libgen is shutting down, they have a list of mirrors up on their sites including this one and for now it is running still
Archive Of Our Own-- if this is somehow your first introduction to ao3, welcome. This is a fanfiction website hosting an incredibly massive collection of works, go read or write something
Rare Filmm-- an archive of rare films
Sprout Distro-- An anarchist zine distributior and publisher, their site has hundreds of extremely informative zines
Guide to Alternative Internet Safety-- a webpage going into brief internet safety knowledge, including spyware and downloading a Tor browser
Tor Project-- The Tor Browser website, with instructions on how to use Tor and more internet safety against tracking and online surveillance
